After a successful year in 2018, T Sport Racing is ready and raring to go for the 2019 race season. During the well-earned 4 month break over the winter period, T Sport Racing took time to recharge their batteries and make some exciting new changes for the season ahead. By building strong ties with new partners including, Derry Bros Shipping, Lunau GmbH and the BPW Group, strengthening existing partnerships, with exciting events in the pipeline and the new D26 MAN race engine - 2019 is set to be a year to remember for this young and energetic team.
Over the winter break the T Sport Racing team has been hard at work, meeting with potential new partners to collaborate with the team in the upcoming season. One such partner T Sport Racing is proud to announce as their official shipping partner for the 2019 season is Derry Bros Shipping. Derry Bros have over 50 years’ worth of experience in the industry providing top level shipping solutions throughout Ireland, UK, Europe and beyond. Also keeping the team moving between the European race circuits is another exciting new partner Lunau GmbH, a well-established and family owned truck and car workshop in Wuppertal (near Cologne and Dusseldorf). They will be providing T Sport Racing with full use of their workshop facilities between races. Finally, this brings us perfectly onto the final addition to the T Sport Racing partnership team, a renowned organisation and one of the leading market leaders of innovation in the in the transport industry – the BPW Group. With more than 120 years of experience, BPW produces key components for road transport across the globe. T Sport Racing are extremely proud and motivated to be strengthening relations with such a well-established and recognised group of companies.
The winter period also gave T Sport Racing time to strengthen ties with existing partners and work in partnership with them to make the upcoming season better than ever. In February the entire T Sport Racing team travelled to Germany to visit their partners from PE Automotive, where the team was treated to a fantastic tour around the PE headquarters in Wuppertal. As PE Automotive is one of the team’s largest supporters, it was important to T Sport Racing that all members of the team had a good understanding of the company. Just a few days before this trip, members of the team attended another successful meeting in Sweden with Trux AB, the European market leader in front mounted safety and styling equipment. In the UK, the team has been working closely with EMS – FP&S who will be supporting T Sport Racing at the main UK events on this year’s race calendar. With the 2019 season fast approaching, the T Sport Racing team has been collaborating with Sign Dezign to produce all the decals, signs and banners for the set-up in the paddock and the race truck. These are essential to maintain the team’s professional image both in the paddock and on the track. Last but not least, the team is also hoping to continue their material partnership with Haugg Kühler, Motec-Ametek, Liqui Moly and MotorDrive Seats.
By working closely with their partners, T Sport Racing is set to compete in more races during this 2019 season than in previous years. The team technicians are working to get the race truck ready for the race season set to start in the summer. More significantly the team has secured a newer, more powerful engine – the D26 MAN race engine. T Sport Racing hope this will make the team even more competitive and successful in the upcoming season, accumulating in even more podium finishes. The entire T Sport Racing team is prepared to hit the tarmac running this upcoming 2019 season, racing in the FIA ETRC and BTRA. To start the 2019 season this spring, the team is driving the race truck and newly refurbished trailer from their workshop in the UK to Herning, Denmark for a transport exhibition as an attraction in collaboration with BESKO A/S, a member of the BPW Group. This event is set to be a successful one for the team and will be a positive start to the 2019 FIA ETRC race season.
